for every six clients i see in one day, five say their biggest skin issue is their pores. that adds up to a lot of pesky unwanted pores. in addition, the offending pores all seem to love being in the same spot of each extremely different face - the nose!
chalk it up to genetics, or infrequent facials, or bad skincare ... i really don't think it matters ... pores never go away. no matter how well you clean, how often you get a facial, how many times you use a Biore nose strip ... a pore is a pore is a pore and there isn't anything that any of us can do about it.
but you can make it less of a problem or less noticeable.
a proper cleansing routine can help minimize the amount of dirt and oil that sits and accumulates in a pore. the less gunk in there the less likely your pores will become enlarged or produce an unsightly blackhead.
exfoliating regularly is also a great way to keep unsightly pores to a minimum. removing dead skin regularly from the surface means less dirt and oil can get trapped in a pore.
last but not least: invest in a great primer. while primers are great for mattifying the skin and allowing makeup to last forever, they can also help to smooth out fine lines AND pores. there are plenty of primers to choose from out there from drugstore to department store.
point of this post: make peace with your pores and not war ... it's so much easier.
Can you recommend good chemical and mechanical exfoliants?

There are natural ways to keep pores tight. However, some people prefer to use advanced ways with the help of technology and experts. It's faster and the results are more satisfying.

Yes, and by peace it doesn't mean that you yield to your pore's demands. You just don't bombard it with a "carpet bomb" of chemicals, creams and ointments. You have to at least maintain just one type of med (if you can't avoid taking it) because taking many types would cause allergy or worse, infections.

Most of us have a pore-related problem, in one way or another. One thing people often overlook regarding this problem is their diet. Fatty food can produce much more sebum, which can attract the dirt and debris that clog the pores. Some effective ways to maintain clear skin is watch what you eat; always keep hydrated, and regularly have your skin checked by skin experts.

Aside from proper cleansing and exfoliating regularly, you could also apply a witch hazel extract which is a strong anti-oxidant and astringent. It is also useful in fighting acne and leaving your face dirt-free. You should do this twice a day after washing your face, so that the extract would take effect quicker.

Yup! Pores are pores, but we can treat them to make them softer and even make them smaller if they are too large. Having large or open pores is the reason why blackheads and dirt accumulate on a certain spot in your face. Making them smaller or look finer is the best solution to treat them. If you want to go for a natural treatment, I suggest that you use egg white mixed with lemon juice. This should help tighten your pores and tone your skin.
